If you own a new Volkswagen car, truck, or SUV, then you’re the proud owner of a German-engineered vehicle that’s built to last. It also means that you’re protected by one of the best warranties in the business.
Volkswagens may be built to a higher standard, but life in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, or West Vancouver can sometimes be rough, so it pays to have a little extra peace-of-mind.
Here at Journey Volkswagen of Coquitlam, we believe in letting you make an informed decision, so here’s the breakdown on how Volkswagen’s new vehicle warranty works:
Basic Limited Warranty
- 4 years/80,000km (whichever occurs first). Wear and tear items and adjustments are excluded after an initial 12 month/20,000km period.
Powertrain Warranty
- 5 year/100,000km (whichever occurs first)
Limited Warranty Corrosion Perforation*
- 12 year/unlimited mileage against corrosion perforation (except for Routan models)
All Routan models are covered for 4 years/80,000km for sheet-metal panels, and 5 years/160,000km for outer-body sheet panels.
* This warranty covers all the cost of parts and labour needed to repair or replace and sheet-metal panels that develop holes from rust or other corrosion. If a hole is caused by a factor other than corrosion, then this warranty does not apply. Cosmetic or surface corrosion from rock chips or scratches are also not covered.
