The Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport offers a 235-horsepower four-cylinder turbo engine and more importantly, it comes standard with a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The other option is a robust 3.6-liter V6 developing 276 horsepower. In both cases you get a powerful engine that is smooth and refined when it needs to be, and quick to react and immediate in its response when you want to get off the line or pass with confidence.
On the road, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport feels quite a bit more connected to the road than the Blazer. The German origins of the Atlas Cross Sport truly shine through on a winding road or when you’re looking to have fun behind the wheel.
The Atlas Cross Sport also offers more cargo space with 1,150 liters of cargo space compared to just 864 liters for the Blazer. This is a huge difference, especially when you buy a sport utility vehicle for the interior space. Regardless of whether you are a young family or an active couple that needs a lot of trunk space, you’ll quickly run out of room in the Blazer, the smallest mid-size SUV in the segment.
